The Consumer & Trade Insights Analyst is responsible for developing actionable consumer and customer insights to support strategic and operational decision making. This requires setting up and coordinating consumer and trade research projects with agencies and synthesise key insights, both to help achieve SMO and Market and overall business objectives.
In addition the role requires initiating, developing and executing initiatives and processes to drive consumer and shopper centricity within the organisation. In this role you will directly report into the Consumer & Trade Insight Manager.
Consumer trends/ Consumer & shopper needs & behaviour
To develop a clear understanding of developments in consumer and shopper trends, attitudes, behaviours, values and needs.
Identify opportunities that address consumer & shopper needs.
Conduct analysis to assess the implications of the external macro environment on consumer needs.
Customer needs/ Trade Segmentation
Develop a clear understanding of developments in customer attitudes, behaviours, values and needs.
Identify opportunities that address customer needs and drive increased satisfaction levels.
Conduct Ad hoc Trade & Consumer Research
Discuss and agree on a key market challenges with stakeholders in the cluster and that require focused research to support strategic and operational decision making.
Work in conjunction with the agency and direct stakeholders to efficiently manage the research project and ensure that all research drives actionable insights in a cost effective, timely manner.
Guard and enhance fact based decision making and provide a day to day voice of the consumer & customer in the business dialogue.
Support and execute collaborative, insight driven processes and workshops.
Skills & experience
Master or Bachelor’s degree in marketing/ business administration/ sociology/ psychology.
Fluent in Dutch, with full professional working proficiency of English.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in qualitative and quantitative methodologies and techniques, either agency or client.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in marketing research project management, including data analysis, interpretation, survey design, and report writing.
Marketing driven & Customer oriented.
Analytical with the ability to have impact.
Project management skills.
Strong communication skills.
