Job Description

Our client is a Belgian company, fully owned by the family, and led by the second generation.  The CEO of the company wants to appoint aSales Manager Belgium in order to organise the sales & commercial activities of the CRAYLER product line.
Mission and Role of the Sales Manager


The Sales Manager will have to handle the following tasks:


·         Prospecting potential clients in Belgium and maintaining relations with the dealer network;

·         Developing and maintaining a network of contacts with dealers, truck sales people, bodywork craftsmen, etc.;

·         Assisting in the preparation of specifications’ documents when requested by the client;

·         Giving technical advice to the current and future clients;

·         Preparation of the proposals/quotes;

·         Potential contacts with the workshop or the dealers to bring solutions to several specific issues raised by clients;

·         Follow-up of queries to the  design and study office in accordance with the contacts with the prospects;

·         Follow-up of clients after delivery;

·         Intervention in possible disputes;

·         Writing of visit reports, prospective clients’ records and other follow-up records;

·         Meeting ISO 9001 requirements.


The Sales Manager will report directly to the Commercial Director (DF4).



Key Tasks and Responsibilities


The Sales Manager will be responsible for:


·         Developing and maintaining commercial contacts to increase the company’s turnover;

·         Obligation to participate in trade shows and exhibitions;

·         Obligation to submit the detailed assembly record with the clearly defined terms and conditions of the proposal to the person responsible for BE and Production.
Profile of the ideal candidate


Bilingual French/Dutch and fluent in English
Commercial or marketing background
A minimum of 8 years of strong commercial experience
Professional skills
·         Good knowledge of mechanics and/or hydraulics

·         Strong network of relationships is useful to the function

·         Mastering knowledge of sold products (technical characteristics and performances)

·         Good understanding of trucks is an undeniable advantage
Personal skills
·         Realistic, pragmatic, “facts and figures” driven

·         Positive and proactive thinking

·         Curiosity involvement

·         Able to build rapidly a strong credibility

·         Respect for other people

·         Well balanced mix between creativity and realism, conceptual and operational approach
