YOUNG GRADUATE IN VETERINARY/BIOLOGY SCIENCES
Your challenge
The project to work on is TRACES (TRAde Control and Expert System) : a trans-European network for veterinary health which notifies, certifies and monitors imports, exports and trade in animals and animal products. Economic operators (private sector) and competent authorities all over the world can use this web-based network to trace back and forth animal and animal product movement. The core of this project is the certification. All certificates must be encoded from paper to electronic format and it is the main job of the person who we are looking. But not only, the person could also answer on our stakeholder about questions regarding the system, test application, maintain existing documentation and finally coaching a group of expert on the application. Tasks are mainly administrative.

Answering all questions addressed to the Commission's services on TRACES including general information requests, questions on specific technical issues by following ITIL process.

Your profile


* A very good oral and written communication skills in English and French (another language is a plus)

* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel & Word)

* By preference background in biology/veterinary health

* Basic knowledge on European Legislation on

* decision 2007/240

* directives 91/496 and 97/78

* regulation 142/2011, 669/2009 and 854/2013 (animals and animal product)

* regulation 1235/2008 (biological product importation)

* Strong analytical, problem solving and learning skills

* General Knowledge of EU institutions

* Team player
