MSF Supply is looking for a Quality Assurance Responsible for a portfolio including vaccines&drugs (85%) and medical devices (15%).
Reporting to the Purchase and Product Coordinator, he/she works in close collaboration with the Procurement Officers and Purchasers responsible for the corresponding portfolio as well as other departments of the procurement centre, and in coordination with the product referents and section pharmacists and the International Medical Coordination.
This role is key to ensure the quality and the availability of the products sourced to be delivered to our programs on the field, at the same time as to ensure the quality of the information related to products across the whole chain.
Validate new articles-suppliers-manufacturers combinations to meet missions’ needs, in respect of the international standards and MSF validation scheme,
Ensure the quality of information and technical documentation: create, update and control data related to items, suppliers-manufacturers and medical kits composition lists in collaboration with other Quality Assurance Responsibles ; Ensures the technical documentation is updated in accordance with regulation changes,
Provide technical support to the Customer Service and the missions whenever needed,
Controls and follows the quality of purchased products in relation with suppliers, the Quality Assurance Department and MSF Supply Operations, including non-conformities and product recalls,
Ensures contact with suppliers/manufacturers from a technical point of view and follow-up of manufacturers and product files.
Play the role of supply focal point for vaccines in the relationship with international bodies of MSF (Vaccine Working Group and Access Campaign) and the manufacturers
Contribute to the definition of product catalog in collaboration with product referents, working groups and the International Technical Coordination,
Contribute to the update and implementation of validation procedures and standards in collaboration with the International Medical Coordination.
Ensure product watch and analyse market trends by participating to conferences and specialised fairs, and by networking with counterparts from other ngo and io (such as ICRC, UNICEF…).
At least 2 years of work experience in drugs domain, including significant experience with vaccines, and to a certain extent with medical devices, in a supply centre, an hospital pharmacy or in the supply chain of the medical industry
Knowledge of drugs and vaccines, and to a certain extent of medical devices, regarding usage and quality validation
Experience with database and document management, search and analysis of technical information
Ability for teamwork and network, rigor and organisation, analytical mindset and capability to take initiatives, good communication, diplomatic and inter-personal skills
Very good knowledge of spoken and written French and English. Dutch is a plus.
Computer literate (MS Office, ERP,… ).
Work experience in humanitarian sector is a plus.
