The Product Manager is responsible for the development and execution of vendor business plans to increase market-share, sales and profitability. Maintaining levels of inventory for assigned vendor line(s) that: maximize sales, inventory turns and return on inventory. You are also responsible for specific reporting, marketing and communication tasks. You support and facilitate the sales team by responding to the e-mail inbox and telephone inquiries.
Vendor Relationship: Execute assigned tasks from the vendor business plan/s to increase market-share and profitability. Maintain daily contact with vendor representatives (DCAM). Presentation skills are needed; especially during Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with vendor management. Ensure high visibility for ScanSource with your assigned vendor lines.
Product Management: Maintain in-depth product knowledge of assigned vendors, drive vendor channel programs and maintain an accessible and responsive relationship with ScanSource sales teams, answering to all questions regarding reference, pricing and lead-times.
Asset Management: Update lead-times (ETA) and manage: Special Price Agreement (SPAs) claims, price protection and stock rotation. Process a- hoc purchases using ScanSource purchasing system and manage a healthy inventory level. Solve invoice discrepancies with finance and all Incorrect Shipment Forms (ISFs) with operations.
Fluent in English is a must and any other language.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
Experienced Excel user (VLookup, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, etc).
Must have the ability to understand databases and datamining.
A strong knowledge of SAP or CRM systems.
Extremely organised and deadline / goal driven.
Inventory purchasing and management skills is a plus
Must be detail-oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to learn new tasks/duties quickly in a fast-paced environment.
3-year college degree in business administration and/or marketing; or 3-year equivalent work experience
Must be able to sit at computer workstation for extended periods of time.
Based on business necessity, employee must be physically available at her workstation during normal business hours designated for this position.
Willingness to travel to and participate in specified events throughout the year (approximately 15% travel).
