Job Description

Technical Sales Engineer USA
As technical sales engineer you provide pre- and post-sales technical activities. You will support our local sales team with your technical expertise. You will collaborate with the business development team and services in the HQ of OTN Systems in Belgium. You will give demonstrations, perform LAB- , pilot- and Proof of Concept testing to convince customers about the unique solutions that OTN Systems can offer. You will train technical staff of potential customers.

Your deployment in the US will start after a positive evaluation of your initiation program in Belgium. The initiation program will consist of a approx. 6 month in-house-training program where you will learn the specifics about the OTN Systems products while participating in service and business development activities in HQ. You will be involved in field interventions, system verification testing and commercial activities.

Participating in conferences, shows, exhibitions when appropriate and requested
Liaising with existing clients and new clients
Providing product education and advice
Proactively investigating the technical solution required to address customer requirements
Opportunistically pursuing additional business development opportunities
Providing training to customers when needed
Acting as a Project Manager for proof of concepts to ensure that our solution is accepted
Following and sharing market technological needs and evolution with Product Line Managers

Master in telecom or equivalent
Must have excellent communication skills (presentations, discussions, customer visits)
Very good understanding of network technologies
Fluent written and spoken in English
