Job Description


VASCO Data Security is looking for an experienced 'Regional Technical Account Manager' in Wemmel.

The objective of the Regional Technical Account Manager (R-TAM) is
-Coaching the local Technical Account Managers (TAM) in a specific region/team,
-Being the Key Technical Account Manager for the company- critical accounts in the region,
-Being the primary support contact for the local TAM,
-Managing the regional Integrator/Technology partners and performing escalation management for post-sales activities.


The Regional Technical Account Manager will:
Work closely with VASCO's Sales and Sales Management in order to achieve the regional targets and figures.
Be the primary point of contact for the Technical Account Managers.
Give Pre-sales coaching and guidance to the Technical Account Managers and Key accounts.
Being the Key Technical account Manager for VASCO's strategic customers
RFx support towards local TAM and Sales
RFx ownership for the Key Accounts
POC/FOC validation management for TAM
Relay market feedback to Product Management in order to be successful in the area

The Regional Technical account manager will also take care of some Technical Account Manager responsibilities:
Get a clear view on the customer's technical objectives for the implementation of VASCO's products
Advise the customer on how and where to best apply VASCO's and/or its strategic partners' products and solutions
Assist from a technical point of view in the pre-sales activities on VASCO products and solutions
Provide Workshop/Consultancy to customers and partners
Obtain detailed technical/business knowledge on the Strategic Partners' applications, especially their possibilities and limitations in order to present the best solution to VASCO customers.
Actively participate in tradeshows and seminars hosted by VASCO.
Actively follow new market trends related to E-security and report those internally
Product training for channel partners and customers/prospects
Create and maintain technical documents (eg Technical White Papers) on VASCO concepts, products and solutions.
Follow-up in Salesforce and other corporate reporting tools.


You have a Master in Industrial Engineering or Civil Engineering Electronics/IT or equivalent by experience
You have 4+ years of experience in the IT industry
You have experience in a support or software development position
You have experience in solution architecture design (2+ years)
Your fluent language is Dutch, but you are also fluent in English and French.

Functional knowledge:
Technical knowledge of the IT standards and protocols, more specific Windows, UNIX/Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,
Base security knowledge
Practical knowledge of C, C++ or Java
Practical knowledge on web-based applications development and relational databases
