Job Description

YOUR JOB
You lead, manage and inspire your team so that it reaches the set goals and grows the IKEA business with sustained long-term profitability;
You identify and develop the many talents to secure succession;
You constantly monitor performance against the IKEA objectives and agreed goals, and when necessary adapt and take action accordingly to achieve them;
You broaden the customer base, positioning IKEA as the leader in life at home in the Belgian online market by showing the width and depth of the IKEA product range in a consumer-friendly way;
You ensure the e-Commerce sales channel plan is aligned with the Belgian business plan while also meeting consumer needs by contributing to the development of the digital web presence strategy;
You work with your team, the country customer experience team, the service office functions, the stores, global colleagues and various support functions (fulfilment organisation, customer support center, …) to secure the effective implementation of tools, working methods and proven solutions, and following up on these in order to maximize their impact and benefit;
You monitor the IT operational processes and inform authorized recipients when/if they are not working according to set expectations;
YOUR PROFILE
Retail knowledge and/or home furnishing experience, preferably in the e-commerce business;
Experienced in creating and implementing long-term strategic plan, action plans, setting budgets, providing clear direction and following up goals;
Enthusiasm for the IKEA brand, culture and values;
Good collaboration skills;
Good influencing skills;
Insight into and knowledge of finance/statistics, or equivalent competence;
Understanding of IT and how the processes can support and develop business;
Commercially-driven and service-minded capability;
Good communication and negotiation skills;
Good knowledge of English and at least one of both local languages (Dutch & French)

The purpose of the job is to grow our market share in the existing country by making IKEA products and services more accessible for the many people, creating a true multichannel offer. You secure a competent and high-performing team, and attract, develop and inspire our co-workers in order to position the IKEA retailer as the best employer in our market. You report to the country customer experience manager.
