In order to support the growth of its team in Belgium, they are looking to recruit a Senior Manager to focus on the Financial Services Sector.

Role:

As Senior Manager you will be leading the provision of Deal Advisory services and high-level expertise across the transaction lifecycle to a wide range of clients in order to help them ensure that deal objectives and value targets are met.

This can involve a.o. advice and assistance with the: corporate strategy, pre-deal evaluation, business integration or separation planning, deal structuring, comprehensive due diligence to post-acquisition integration support, exit strategies, structured and project financing, leveraged buyouts, public securities offerings, privatizations and valuations.

In addition, as a member of the Deal Advisory management team, you will be co-responsible for the development of new business opportunities and the further development of our client’s services and the competencies of its staff.

 

Key responsibilities and accountability:

The role will focus on the development and delivery of engagements and the key responsibilities can be summarized as follows: 

  • providing advice and being recognized as a trusted advisor through the quality of own work, and by using your skills, experience and understanding of transactions.
  • being the main point of contact for senior client contacts and developing and sustaining strong client relationships and understanding of their broader business needs.
  • inspiring, developing, leading and motivating team members and staff by acting as role model and sharing experiences and knowledge.
  • assisting in growing the business through the origination of new opportunities and proposal development with both existing and new clients.
  • coordinating and interacting with other disciplines: i.e risk, tax, legal and proactively  levering of  wider international support as required.
  • contributing to Practice development through the deepening of functional knowledge and insight; the expansion of in-depth expertise; codification of best practices and development of new services, tools, methodologies and staff competences.

Desired Skills and Experience
Required Experience/Qualifications:

Ideally the candidate should have following functional and technical skills and experiences: 

  • a minimum of 8 years of progressively more responsible positions in M&A deal advisory, investment banking, financial due diligence or auditing in the Finacial Services sector, either with an advisor or a financial institution
  • a minimum of 4 years full transaction experience in executing M&A deals for Financial Services organisations in either a deal advisory firm or in a strategy or corporate development role at a reputable financial institution
  • a deep understanding of the Financial Services sector including knowledge of the relevant European and National regulations, issues, opportunities and competitive positions
  • strong technical skills with proven competency in investigative analysis of the business, valuation principles and techniques, financial modelling and financial analysis
  • had exposure to or familiarity with both Equity Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance transactions / Debt Capital Markets
  • strong and proven project management skills are essential, with certification as a plus
  • proven experience and involvement in business development
  • a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or equivalent by experience

 
Languages:  Fluent in written and spoken Dutch, French and English

Qualification

Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or equivalent by experience.
