The Pfizer Clinical Research Unit (PCRU) in Brussels is a state-of-the-art research facility with sixty inpatient beds dedicated to early clinical trials (Phase 1 & 2a studies).
There are only two CRUs worldwide, one in New Haven (USA) and one in Brussels (Belgium).
The clinical trials, with the help of healthy volunteers and patients, are key in the development of new medicines which will help patients worldwide.
The studies run in the PCRU are set up in collaboration with US and UK Study Teams, based on the most accurate protocols.
The recruitment department of the PCRU is responsible for the recruitment of healthy volunteers and patients, responding to the study specific criteria. Colleagues in our department are the main point of contact for our volunteers, being our key partners.
We are a fast growing multicultural team introducing the lay public and registered volunteers to our studies and activities.
For this brand new role, we are looking for an enthusiastic and engaged colleague with an innovative mindset who is passionate about communication, driven and ready to throw oneself in a new challenge.
As a key member in the PCRU recruitment department, the "volunteer recruitment strategist" will be working closely with the "clinical research recruiters", in-house study teams, managing a portfolio of projects from pitch to delivery and liaising with marketing professionals.
You are responsible for development and maintenance of the BRPCRU subject recruitment capabilities to conduct a broad range of studies.
Interact pro-actively with on the one hand the Clinical Research Recruiter and on the other the Patient Recruitment Manager, in view of reaching relevant target groups.
You coordinate the implementation of recruitment/communication campaigns, including the design, drafting & publication of advertisements in various media. Assure internal and external (EC) approval and you maintain accuracy, accessibility, and confidentiality of volunteer records and reports.
Set up and maintenance of projects in view of Pfizer market awareness in Belgium and neighboring countries concerning clinical trials and breaking the taboo around clinical trials.
Assess systematically Return Of Investment of projects.
Interact pro-actively with PCRU study team and "Clinical Research Recruiter" in order to determine for each study a study specific recruitment strategy.
In this role you are responsible for the collection and documentation of electronic and written data.
Ensure that quality, follow-up and time schedules are met, provide in administrative support Providing administrative support within timelines by putting quality first.
Write and update recruitment related documents for subject use as appropriate.
Communicate protocol requirements to study subjects and contribute to compliance.
Participate in training courses as appropriate
Assist in the training of PCRU staff and contractors with less experience and expertise
Responsible for complying with Pfizer Standards, ethical standards, ICH, regulatory and legal requirements, national and European laws on health and safety at work, fire prevention and other appropriate legislation
What you offer:
You have obtained a Bachelor Degree or equivalent through experience
Previous experience (3-5 years)in functions involving brand management, communication, marketing, copy writing
Previous experience in functions involving a large part of administration and/or in healthcare environment is an asset
Must have excellent working knowledge of computers, and familiar with Microsoft Office Applications - Extensive knowledge of Excel is an asset
Good knowledge of the use of new media(e.g Social media, virtual meeting applications, mobile applications,…)
o Excellent written and verbal skills in English, French and Dutch are essential. Knowledge of any additional language would be an advantage.
o Superior written and verbal skills are essential; including the ability to communicate complicated research principles in easily understandable language
o Demonstrate effective communication with management group, colleagues, subjects, external customers and healthcare professional
Presentation Skills; Experience in giving presentations.
